Paddles versus Rackets

I gotta believe that the best thing for the sport is its worlwide "UNIFICATION".

It seems to me that the majority are playing with paddles. It is a way cool game. It aslo gives each venue a chance to sell and market their own paddles and help generate dollars for you putting on the sport in your area.

Here is what one person said to me on the topic:
" There is no reinvention of the wheel; just what set of wheels do you need to get across the line!!!
The rallies in the paddle game are more exciting, there is more pressure, especially not knowing who is receiving the ball. No time for snoozing in the paddle game, its game on !! Also it requires greater athleticism to cover court, lower net greater touch, I can go on"

I am hosting Bermuda's first Beach Tennis event with BT USA this Sept 19th - 21st with the rackets !! We are having a PADDLE EXHIBITION at the event though.
Many others are seriously talking about the Paddle though going forward....and even the USA have been exposed to it recently in Ravenna, Italy.

A World Wide Tour....with a properly arranged tournament calendar would also be of great benefit.

Multi-Sport = Multi-Racket?

I agree that they should start to work on the unification of the sport. One racket, one set of rules, that's it! In my opinion the paddle should rule the sport. The game is a lot faster with the paddle and will attract greater athletes and in that way become more attractive to watch. When there are more people coming to the events to watch the matches, the more sponsors will become interested in becoming a part of the sport and the more the sport will be able to grow.
